Reasons Why Nigeria cannot be divided and The Igbos cannot create the state of Biafra

Speaking with Mr Anthony Ejiofor Ojukwu a Nigerian political Analyst based in London, about the possibility of Nigeria been divided into two or more countries? and Mr Anthony Ojukwu shared his findings, thought and opinion as a political analyst, He said currently Nigeria cannot be divided and the south eastern part of Nigeria cannot become an independent nation nor be recognise as the state of Biafra, due to the following reasons.

One of the reason why Nigeria cannot be divided now, is because majority of the people who are calling for the division of Nigeria are Igbos, although due to recent religious and tribal conflicts that took place at the northern part of Nigeria, many people from the southern part of Nigeria are now calling for the division of Nigeria, however majority of the people calling for the division of Nigeria are from the south eastern part, and because it is one group of persons that is seriously calling for the division of Nigeria it makes the call logically invalid, however the big problem is that even the igbos who are calling for the division of Nigeria are not united among themselves, for example there is a group of persons in the northern part of Nigeria call "The Norther Elders" and when this group of people speak the rest listen, but the Igbos don't have "Elders" there is no person not even politicians nor traditional rulers or group of persons that can stand and speak and the igbos listen, that is why they say Igbos don't have King, every igbo man wants to be king, the Igbos are more competetive among themselves than cooperating with themselves, any day the igbos will unite among themselves their pursuit for an independent nation will materialized, but till then they cannot achieve anything with this division among themselves, "A house divided among itself will not stand" Mr Ojukwu said The Igbos cannot even come together to form an organization that will be a voice for the Igbo people how then can they come together to form a country?

Another reason Mr Anthony Ejiofor Ojukwu gave why Nigeria cannot be divided now is because the international communities like the United Nations, European Union, Africa Union and countries Like China, United States Of America, Russia and many others will prefer to have a United Nigeria than a divided Nigeria, when the president of the United State of America Donald Trump was sworn into office many pro-biafra protesters took the street to celebrate him believing he will help to fight their cause which is the creation of the state of Biafra, but the bottom truth is even if President Donald Trump does not like what is going on in Nigeria mostly in the area of muslims killing christians yet he still prefers a united Nigeria to a divided Nigeria like every other world leaders do, the reason is because dividing Nigeria now will create serious instability in Africa that is already facing too many crisis, because the new countries that will be formed out of the divided Nigeria will need time to create their own governtment, make new laws, build new diplomatic ties, make new trade and financial agreement with other countries, secure their territory and many other internal restructuring and this will greatly affect foreign investments in the region and this will deepen the global economic crisis and will lead to humaniterian crisis as people will be forced to move in search of greener pasture, this is a situation no world leader would like to see happen, and a divided Nigeria is not good for business, a hundred and eighty million people living together is a very big market for foreign and local investment.

According to Mr Ojukwu another reason why Nigeria cannot be divided is because if any part of Nigeria is giving the right to become an independent country then the same right and previlige must be given to any other part or fraction that wants to become an independent nation, now knowing that crude oil is Nigeria main source of income, the question now is what if the south south or the niger delta region of Nigeria choose not to be part of Biafra nor any other country but to become a country on its own? what then happens to the other countries like "Biafra" or "Nigeria" that depends on the oil from the Niger delta to survive?so the issue here is not about dividing Nigeria but how well can we contain the negative consequenceses for doing so? because whether we like it or not there will be many negative consequenceses in dividing Nigeria into two or more countries and the gravity of those negative consequenceses are beyond Human prediction, it might not be that bad or it might be fatal.

Mr Ojukwu went further to say I am an Igbo man and a Nigerian, I understand and know the challenges the igbo people are gonig through in Nigeria and most of the time it seems that the only option is to divide the country which I do agree to in certain ways but I know that if something is not properly done it will only lead to more problem, I believe in one Nigeria but if staying together will lead Nigeria into more problems then It should be didvided and the division or seperation must be done through the right process, I have some Ideas on that i will share later on through this forum or medium, however I Mr Anthony Ejiofor Ojukwu suggest that the igbo people and politicians must search for ways to reunite the igbo people and create an organization or a forum that brings the igbo people together and gives them a voice, it is time to show to the whole world that we have what it takes to be a country, it is time to make the south eastern part of Nigeria one of the best place to live on earth by giving it good roads, good security, steady water and electricity supply and good money
